Last night we had our Grand Finale for the Internal Competitions of 2020/2021. The top 3 images of all competition rounds were entered into the "Image of the Year" and "Print of the Year" competitions. Our Judge for the evening was Pete Boyes, ex Chairman of the Driffield Photographic Society. He had 27 PDI images and 22 PDI versions of prints to judge and comment on. He provided us with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each competition. The Winner of the Image of the Year competition was Ian Glaves with his superb "Goldcrest" image. In second place was Dez Green with "Knockdown" and in third place was Nigel Dalton with "Paul".
The Print of the Year competition was won by Nigel Dalton with "This is going to Hurt", with Rob Winstanley in 2nd and 3rd places with "Mouse" and "Deer" respectively. Thanks to Pete for joining us for the evening and for his critique.
Here are the winning images.
